Gym Etiquette
Know how to not piss off your fellow gym users by following these guidelines.
At Premier Martial Arts Lubbock, we are guided by a set of principles that not only shape our training but also empower our students to thrive in all areas of life. Led by James Yaeger, our ethos reflects the values we aim to instill in every student:
Self-Confidence: Cultivate the belief in your abilities to face challenges and achieve personal success.
Self-Control: Learn to manage emotions and maintain composure in all situations.
Self-Defense: Equip yourself with practical skills to protect and defend when necessary.
Self-Discipline: Develop the determination to set, pursue, and achieve meaningful goals.
Be Punctual: Arrive on time to maximize your training experience and respect your fellow students.
Maintain Hygiene: Wear a clean uniform, practice good personal hygiene, and keep nails trimmed for safety.
Respect Others: Address instructors and peers with respect, using titles like "Coach" or "Professor."
Keep It Clean: Remove shoes before stepping onto the mat to maintain a hygienic training area.
Dress Appropriately: Ensure your uniform is neat and your belt is properly tied.
Safety First: Inform instructors of any health concerns and always practice control during drills and sparring.
Stay Positive: Support and encourage fellow students to create a collaborative and uplifting community.
